Go West they say, but only the Pacific can tell you when to stop.
- Kate Sutton, Bookforum
Mayeur Projects is thrilled to present a solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist Zoe Crosher, the first Artist-in-residence this past March. The New LA-LIKE brings together several series of work emblematic of Crosher’s ongoing conceptual mapping of Los Angeles, the fantasies it provokes and the distance between these projections and the reality of the city. On view will be work from her LA-LIKE: Transgressing The Pacific and LA-LIKE: Prospecting Palm Fronds series, along with a new limited-edition tear sheet piece inspired by her recent publication.
On Saturday June 25th, Zoe Crosher will be reading excerpts from LA-LIKE: Transgressing the Pacific, released this year with Hesse Press and recently featured in Bookforum.
